Dau Tieng tops provincial “southern folk music” contest 2020

The awards ceremony of the provincial “don ca tai tu” (southern folk music) contest 2020 was held at provincial Center for Culture and Arts on the evening of September 30.

With the theme of “don ca tai tu-Preservation and development”, the contest absorbed 9 art troupes across the province. As a result, Dau Tieng district’s art troupe topped the contest. Second and third prizes went to the art troupes of Phu Giao and Thuan An city, respectively. Bau Bang district’s art troupe won consolidation prize.

The contest was organized by provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aiming to preserve, honor and uphold the values of Vietnamese traditional music.
