Focusing on Covid-19 prevention-control, ensuring safe production

Based on the specific situation, closely following central and local directions, enterprises have proactively adjusted their production activities for better results. In the province, many enterprises have actively implemented effective measures against the pandemic, ensuring safe production.

Pandemic prevention is above all

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan, Deputy Head of Viet Danh Company’s Personnel Department in the Uyen Hung Industrial Compound said that the company has actively implemented measures against the pandemic, preventing the sources of infection from outside and maintaining production. The company has also set up scenarios and plans to be ready to respond in any possible situations; established Covid-19 safety teams at workshops. With 2 or 4 members, each Covid-19 safety team is responsible for monitoring about 50 workers to quickly detect cases with the risk of Covid-19 infection with clinical symptoms, and give guidance for treatment when there are  suspected cases as well as supporting investigation and tracing. The company has also conducted rapid testing for all workers, disinfected its workshops after each shift, regularly monitored the situation of workers at lodging facilities...

Kolon Vietnam Company at Tan Uyen town-based “Beautiful City” Industrial Compound has well performed Covid-19 prevention and control in order to maintain production-business activities and protect workers' health. In addition to preventing the risk of pandemic spread from outside, the company has taken measures such as monitoring workers ‘body temperature, providing them with hand sanitizer, arranging partitions at the canteen…An Kyu Kang, General Director of the company said: “The occurrence of F0 case from negligence can cause one or more workshops to suspend operations, causing huge damage. Our point of view is that  we are possible to reduce operating capacity but ensure safety for workers. Currently, the company is arranging for employees to stay at the factory to work. Every day, the company's Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control closely monitors the actual situation of the company to implement more effective measures against the pandemic, maintaining and promoting production- business activities…”.

Maintaining production

In order to further maintain production while ensuring requirements of Covid-19 prevention and control, ENS FOAM Company in the “Beautiful City” Industrial Company has implemented a series of solutions such as conducting testing for all employees, providing more equipment for workshops, offering free face masks, anti-droplet face shields, hand sanitizer to workers...Some enterprises have taken advantage of canteens, halls, parking areas to create accommodations for employees, limiting the source of Covid-19 infection…

At present, many enterprises want to have vaccines so that workers get inoculation against the pandemic, creating peace of mind among them. Vo Tuong Lai, Deputy General Director of Tan Dong Hiep Investment and Construction Group Co., Ltd., also suggested the Government to quickly distribute vaccines against Covid-19 to Binh Duong in order to give injection for workers, soon achieving herd immunity, helping employers confidently organize production in the new context.

According to Nguyen Truong Thi, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT), most enterprises have made efforts in maintaining their  production. Their anti-pandemic spirit has been upheld well. In the spirit of "fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy", leaders of provincial DoIT  suggested that enterprises need to keep a close watch on the developments of the pandemic to decide on priority levels in organizing and realizing the dual goals if necessary. “In the current period, workers ‘health must be above all. Enterprises need to implement a chain of safe workers - safe traffic - safe stay - safe production, promoting propaganda on Covid-19 prevention and control in association with the implementation of dual goals", emphasized Mr. Thi.
