“Journey gives flame for youth” 2020 towards grassroots

Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has just kicked off the “Journey gives flame for youth” 2020, aiming to accompany  the local Youth Union branches in improving the quality of Youth Union activities. This is one of major youth works to effectively realize provincial Youth Union’s policy towards grassroots and concretize criteria on building the model of “exemplary-responsible-creative and close to grassroots” Youth Union cadre.

Accordingly, provincial Support Center for Young Workers held the “Journey gives flame for youth” No.1 in Hoi Nghia ward. During the journey, the center offered 30 gifts worth VND200,000 each for the offspring of young workers; donated 200 mid-autumn gifts to the offspring of young workers via the ward’s Youth Union; gave 200 insurance packages for the local young workers. Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, Young Pioneer Organization also gave 10 gifts worth VND300,000 each for needy pupils while donating 1,000 notebooks to the offspring of the local young workers…

The club “connecting young workers” carries out a youth work repainting the old walls for environmental protection

In addition, Youth Union members of the ward and members of the club “connecting young workers” under provincial Support Center for Young Workers carried out a youth work on environmental protection by repainting the old walls of quarter 2 with a total expense of nearly VND10million. The center also helped Youth Union members, young workers to take part in a talk show with the special subject of “Uncle Ho with youth” presented by Prof.Dr.Vu Gia Hien.

Van Thi Hong Khanh, Secretary of Hoi Nghia ward’s Youth Union said that the support of units and higher Youth Union helped the ward’s Youth Union bring the local youths useful activities and support social welfare, thereby promoting the movements of the local Youth Union.

Under the “Journey gives flame for youth” 2020, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee will support 20 communal-level Youth Unions, 136 Youth Union branches of quarters and hamlets. The journey focuses on improving the quality of propaganda-education via organizing meetings on great holidays, visiting “red addresses”; making dissemination on studying, following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, lifestyle; taking care of, protecting and educating teenagers-children; especially supporting such youth works as awarding scholarships to pupils, building recreational areas for children, giving gifts for policy beneficiary families; providing free medical check-ups, medicine for disadvantaged people; organizing visits to effective production-business models…

The Youth Unions of districts, towns and cities will accompany 136 Youth Union branches of quarters and hamlets by significant and significant programs, absorbing the participation of the local Youth Union members. These programs will contribute to enhancing the quality of Youth Union activities, upholding the voluntary spirit of Youth Union members, creating a solid foundation for grassroots Youth Union activities.
