According to a report by Tan Uyen town’s Labor Union, the town now has a total of 428 trade union locals with 100,308 workers. As of February 23 afternoon, 420 enterprises with 99,417 workers have resumed operation or 98.1% of total. Town-based enterprises also need around 2,000 laborers at present.

Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh, Chairwoman of the town’s Labor Union said that more workers returned to work than the same period of the previous years. Many workers stayed in the province for Tet, so the situation of workers returning to work late or staying in their hometowns to seek jobs did not occur. There was no fluctuation of labour shortages after Tet. It is known that many enterprises have needed to recruit more workers from ahead of Tet in order to meet their demand for production expansion.
