Nearly 30,000 health insurance cards granted to poor and near-poor households

Thursday, 21/02/2019

In 2018, the whole province granted 29,424 health insurance cards to poor, near-poor households and those have just escaped poverty with a total expense of more than VND22billion, which was one of the local main contents in poverty reduction and social support. This not only helped the local poor and near-poor households lessen the cost burden from healthcare, but also raise their awareness as well as helping them get access to modern healthcare services.

The province’s healthcare sector last year also coordinated with its units to provide free medical check-up for 19.370 poor and near-poor people with a total expense of more than VND5.5billion, contributing to improving their health.
