Outstanding loans from consumer lending tend to decrease

Update: 06-05-2021 | 11:56:30

The State Bank of Vietnam’s Binh Duong branch said that the total outstanding loans across the province reached more than VND233.4trillion in the first quarter of 2021, an increase of 14% compared to 2020. Of these, outstanding loans from consumer lending was more than VND17.9trillion, accounting for 7.7% of total outstanding loans. Most consumer loans focused on purchasing vehicles, paying school fees, medical treatment, buying household appliances, etc.

However, the current outstanding loans in this field tend to level off, partially due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the general difficult situation of the economy over the past time.
