Over 3,000 sqm of land donated to new-style rural construction

Under the national target program on new-style rural construction, provincial War Veterans ‘Society and its branches last year donated 3,425 square meters of land and 1,600 rubber trees; upgraded 75,295 meters of rural road; cleaned up more than 83,000 meters of road and dredged 89,950 meters of canal…

Provincial War Veterans ‘Society and its branches also contributed 6,721 working days and VND667million in cash to making rural roads. Noticeably, there were 3 members donating land and cut down rubber trees in order to build rural roads with a total value of more than VND2billion.

In addition, members of provincial War Veterans ‘Societies at all levels coordinated with the local police force to carry out 4,163 patrols, maintaining the local order and security; took part in breaking 131 cases of theft, handling 510 drug-related and gambling cases…
