Over VND150million donated to the handicapped

Since early this year, Phu Giao district has visited, presented gifts worth VND120million to the local disabled people.

Provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients has also donated 150 gifts worth VND30million to orphans, poor and near-poor households’ offspring in communes of Tan Long, An Long and Tam Lap.

In addition, the town has joined hands with provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to organize training courses on propaganda of the United Nations Convention, policies to disabled people among collaborators and classes on skills for households with handicapped people.

*Trung Thao Electronics Center has just teamed up with provincial Sponsoring Association for Disabled People, Orphans and Poor Patients to hand over a house of compassion to Tran Thu Le, born in 1939, in Phu Giao district’s An Long commune.

The 40-sq.m house has total construction cost of more than VND70million, including VMD50million from the center and the remainder from her family. On this occasion, the center also offered some essential home appliances to the family.
