Province steps up fight against smuggling, trade fraud

Provincial Market Control Department has instructed its branches to tighten the fight against smuggling, trade fraud and made efforts in ensuring food safety-hygiene.

They have also been ordered to continue well realizing coordination with relevant agencies to prevent smuggling, trade fraud and fake products before, during and after the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

It is known that over the past nine months, provincial Market Control Department inspected 906 cases, thereby detecting 477 wrong cases, penalizing 475 cases with total fine of more than VND6billion, destroying illegal foods valued at more than VND2.3billion.
