Province will continue well realizing religious and ethnic policies

Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee made the statement at a get-together for religious dignitaries and ethnic minority people held yesterday afternoon on the occasion of the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2017. Attending the event were Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People’s Council.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Hung briefly informed participants of the province’s socio-economic, cultural and political situation in 2016. The province last year continued reaching stable economic growth, paid more attention to cultural and social welfare fields. Particularly, the province spent more than VND900million on taking care of revolutionary contributors and realizing social welfare activities; generated jobs for more than 45,000 laborers; attached special importance to poverty reduction under the new poverty line…He emphasized that ethnic minority people and religious followers made great contributions to the local development over the past time.

Religious dignitaries and representatives of ethnic minority people in the province also expressed tribute to the attention of provincial leaders in religious practice and activities keeping ethnic cultural identities. They vowed to further make solidarity, live with the motto of “Good life, good religion” and offer help to the poor, contributing to well realizing the local task on social welfare.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Liem called for religious dignitaries and ethnic minority people in the province to further strengthen the national great unity bloc, actively work, study and take part in patriotic emulation movements; maintain and uphold fine traditional cultural and moral values towards a goal of building up a civilized, prosperous and beautiful Binh Duong homeland.
