Provincial Youth Union takes Tet care of laborers

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized a lot of activities taking Tet care of trade unionists and laborers with difficult circumstances with a desire of bringing Tet to all people.

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have planned to hold many activities taking care of trade unionists and laborers, helping them a warm and happy Tet.

As of now, provincial Labor Union has made a list of laborers with difficult circumstances and suggested provincial People’s Committee to extract more than VND5billion from the local State budget to donate 10,300 gifts (up 1,200 compared to 2018) worth VND500,000 each to them.

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have also given nearly 5,000 bus tickets for alien laborers to return home for Tet, up 1,000 compared to 2018. In addition, provincial Labor Union will coordinate with provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize 20 art performance nights in celebration of the Party and New Year in areas crowded with people while instructing the local Trade Unions at all levels to team up with enterprises to well organize activities taking care of laborers.

So far, trade union locals at many companies have planned to organize art performances, year-end parties and lucky draw programs with valuable prizes for laborers. Provincial Labor Union is expected to organize a “Gathering in Tet holiday” program with significant activities, comprising of a Tet festival for workers, activities buying goods with preferential prices, art performances…

Dang Thi Kim Chi, President of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) ’s Trade Union said that the Trade Union will strengthen activities taking care of the spiritual and material lives of trade unionists and laborers in 2019. These activities will contribute to improving the role of the Trade Union to trade unionists, laborers and enterprises; simultaneously create a motivation for laborers to be utterly dedicated to their work…

Particularly, trade union locals are proactive to coordinate with enterprises to soon map out Tet plans for laborers; take part in disseminating the Government’s regulations on adjusting region-based minimum wages from January 1, 2019. They will grasp the situation of enterprises preparing for dissolution, or owing social insurance payments…in order to petition for timely support. The Trade Union of VSIP will also conduct its branches to make a list of needy laborers to visit and present Tet gifts for them. The Trade Union will organize a sentimental bus program, offer Tet bus tickets to poor laborers who are not able to return home for Tet.

Whilst, province-based Industrial Parks ‘Trade Union will organize a “Reunion for Tet” program for laborers to enjoy the Tet festival 2019. Coming to the contest, teams will make “banh tet” (cylindric glutinous rice cake), arrange five-fruit trays, design spring greeting cards, perform art items…The Trade Union will also visit and extend Tet greetings to trade unionists, laborers and enterprises; organize get-togethers for alien Trade Union officials who stay in Binh Duong for Tet.

It is believed that the efforts by the local authorities, trade union at all levels and enterprises will contribute to taking good care of trade unionists and laborers during the Tet festival 2019.

Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that provincial Labor Union conducted Trade Unions at all levels of the province to give care for trade unionists and laborers on the occasion of the Tet festival 2019.
