Provincial Youth Union has just organized a “spring volunteer” program in Simacai and Bac Ha districts in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai with significant activities, bringing beloved sweaters to the local children with difficult circumstances.

It is known that provincial Youth Union mobilized Youth Union members, pupils and youths to support 500 schoolbags, 500 sets of uniform, 500 sweaters, 1,000 teddy bears and 300 Tet gifts for the program in the last 3 months of 2019.

From resources of the society, provincial Youth Union held many programs taking care of needy children on the upcoming Tet festival. Particularly, provincial Youth Union offered 250 “dream” schoolbags, scholarships and learning tools to children, poor Young Pioneer Organization members with good academic results, especially ethnic minority, religious, disabled children and young workers ‘children with difficult circumstances.

Provincial Youth Union also held a program on “For beloved juniors” to visit and offer 100 gifts worth VND300,000 each to child patients at hospitals, public medical centers, provincial General Hospital and district-level medical centers. In addition, provincial Cultural House for Children held a program on “Spring tree for poor children” and “Lightening dreams of children with difficult circumstances” 2020.

Noticeably, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have attached special importance to taking care of young workers ‘offspring with difficult circumstances. Provincial Support Center for Young Workers are also very busy with spring programs, namely a spring market-day for young workers, a festival on food and folk games for young workers…

Nguyen Tan Dat, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union said that on the Tet festival 2020, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have focused on mobilizing the community to join hands in taking care of teenagers and children with difficult circumstances. Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has instructed its branches to realize a “Volunteer spring” program to support teenagers, children, especially young workers ‘offspring…This is a peak campaign to uphold the volunteer spirit of the local youths in taking care of Youth Union members, teenagers and children, bringing the warmness of spring to all people…
