“Safety for women” festival 2019 held
Implementing the 2019 theme of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU): “Safety for women and children” and marking the 89th anniversary of the VWU, Phu Giao district’s Women’s Union, on October 16, held the 2019 festival “Safety for women”.
The festival absorbed more than 300 officials, members with practical activities. Especially, the district’s Women’s Union and its branches mobilized donors to offer means of subsistence, including small carts selling sugarcane juice, bread, breeding chickens, loans to develop homebased business, and awarded 30 scholarships worth VND74million to poor women’s offspring.
It aims to equip women with skills on healthcare, improve their legal knowledge while creating a safe environment for them to uphold their ability, thereby contributing to building up well-off, equal, advanced and happy families.
