Tan Uyen well taps potential for tourism development

Tan Uyen town possesses many favorable natural conditions for ecotourism development. The town has created optimal conditions for enterprises to make investment in fields, including tourism.

Advantages

Dong Nai river runs through Tan Uyen town, facilitating the local ecotourism development. Especially, Bach Dang isle is well-known with pomelo trademark while Thanh Hoi isle is famous for Rua isle archaeological relic and hi-tech agricultural models…The whole town is now home to 10 national and provincial-level historical-cultural relic sites, absorbing around 20,000 visitors every year.

Tan Uyen town has many advantages for tourism development

Under provincial plan on tourism development to 2020 and vision to 2030, Tan Uyen town is selected as a place for ecotourism development on Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi isles. Provincial People’s Committee has also approved provincial project on developing special tourism products till 2015 and orientation to 2020.

Implementing the above plan and project, Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi communes are selected to bolster hi-tech agricultural models in association with ecotourism development. Accordingly, the town has organized a variety of practical activities. For example, the town successfully held the second “Huong buoi Bach Dang” (Fragrancy of Bach Dang pomelo) festival in early 2019, luring more than 5,000 visitors. The annual festival is the premise for the town to promote the local tourism and connect tourism sites in the province with localities around Dong Nai river.

Further calling for investors

According to Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee, the town will further call for enterprises to make investment in the local tourism sector, especially get involved in building up a system of national standard hotels with entertainment services for a large number of visitors. The town will also make socialization in investment for traffic infrastructure facilities, restaurants and eateries with specialities of the southern region in general and of Tan Uyen in particular…

Doan Hong Tuong, Chairman of Tan Uyen town’s People’s Committee said that the town’s Party and government have always realized the importance of investment attraction and long-term investment maintenance in tourism development. Over the past time, this was among the town’s top 4 groups of measures for tourism development.

To well realize the above task, the town has set major solutions, including connecting tourism products. Accordingly, the town has displayed agricultural products, ornamental trees at resorts, rest stops; connected travel units in and out of it; designed eco-tours in association with the local historical-cultural relic sites, pagodas and temples; establishing a “hot” line system on tourism…

The town has also bolstered Bang Dach commune to tap the local potential for green tourism, home based tourism; supported farming households to popularize their agricultural products to be able to get access to the tourism market. In addition, the town has called for investors to develop the local tourism services; maintained and developed “don ca tai tu” (southern folk music) clubs in association with the local tours…
