Thuan An’s youths following Uncle Ho’s example in emulation for learning, working

After four years of implementing the Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TW on acceleration of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle, youngsters in Thuan An city have had a lot of models, works together with outstanding examples for the spirit of studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings.

Effectiveness from models

Over the past times, Thuan An city’s Youth Unions at all levels registered and realized many works, models following Uncle Ho’s teachings, namely “Installation of Uncle Ho’s testament boards at Youth Union branches”, “356 days following Uncle Ho’s teachings”, “One gold hour for green space”, “Red journey”, “Tree honoring thousands of good deeds”, “Youths joining hands in building nice quarters”…

There were also 12 city-level youth works and 50 grassroots-level ones with total expense of hundreds of millions of dong. In addition, the city’s Youth Unions at all levels constructed 4 houses of compassion worth nearly VND200million; awarded 1,500 scholarships and bicycles to poor-but-excellent pupils; provided free medical check-ups, medicine for more than 5,000 policy beneficiaries, lonely elderly people and children with difficult circumstances; upgraded more than 2,200 meters of rural roads; registered to undertake 20 civilized urban alleys; planted green trees…

Especially, studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and lifestyle is seen as a regular and basic content in education of the city’s Youth Unions at all levels. This content has been concretized by tasks, solutions in all fields, thereby helping the local Youth Union tasks reach high results.

Bright examples

The city’s Youth Union has also just honored 51 outstanding Youth Union members in studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings. Among them, there is Mai Quoc Cuong, an official of the General Investigation Team under the city’s Police Agency. It is known that since 2019, he and his colleagues have investigated, handled 20 cases, 40 criminal news…He is also among the province’s advanced youths following Uncle Ho’s teachings for the 2018-2020 period.

Or, Dang Nguyen Xuan Trong is a student of HCM city’s University of Economics and Finance with initiatives on environmental protection, bringing benefits to the homeland. He used to have 2 research subjects entering the final round of the national startup competition for pupils and students organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in Ha Noi. His startup project on self-destroying package from potato starch for environmental protection was among top 10 ideas of HCM city National University’s competition for startup ideas.

Vo Phi Long, member of Trinh Hoai Duc high school’s Youth Union Executive Board is also a bright example in studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings. He won many prizes, including the gold medal in biology for 10^th graders in the 4^th HCM city April Olympic for the 2017-2018 academic year; the third prize in the group D3 of the 23^rd Binh Duong provincial Young Informatics Contest 2019…He was among the province’s advanced youths in following Uncle Ho’s teachings between 2016 and 2019. He was also sorted out to attend the Vietnam-Deajoen friendship exchange program in South Korea…
