Pervasion of pink spring

With the participation of nearly 2,000 people, this year’s “Pink spring” festival has been seen as the biggest one so far. The movement of voluntary blood donation was promoted among people from all strata over the past time. Dr.Le Hoang Oanh, Deputy Director of HCM city-based Cho Ray hospital’s Hematology-Blood Transfusion Center said that voluntary blood donation is a significant deed, actively contributing to giving first aid and medical treatment for patients in need of blood.

According to provincial Red Cross Society, the province’s voluntary blood donation movement over the past time reached in-depth development, absorbing a large number of participants. So far, the whole province has set up 115 clubs on voluntary blood donation with 4,043 members. In 2019, provincial Red Cross Society and its branches were very enthusiastic in mobilizing members, volunteers and people to take part in giving blood. As a result, the province received 19,150 units of blood or 102% of the set target.

With great significance, the province’s voluntary blood donation activities have always received enthusiastic response of people from all strata. At the event, the organizers received 1,412 units of blood…

Beloved spring

Under the movement of “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” launched by Vietnam Red Cross Society, provincial Red Cross Societies at all levels have continued receiving enthusiastic response of people from all strata. Through the “Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims” program 2020, the organizers collected nearly VND16.5billion from enterprises, units, organizations, individuals and donors in and out of the province.

The fund has been used to offer Tet gifts to disadvantaged people. At the event, the organizers continued offering 1,000 gifts worth VND800,000 each to handicapped people, Agent Orange victims, young workers with difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the event, Mr.Hung suggested sectors, authorities at all levels, especially Red Cross Societies at all levels to have closer coordination in realizing the local social welfare programs in 2020; focus on offering help to poor households, disabled people, Agent Orange victims…
