“Winter volunteer” 2019 and “Spring volunteer” 2020 program implemented in Lao Cai

On December 12 and 16, provincial Youth Union held a program on “Winter volunteer” 2019 and “Spring volunteer” 2020 in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai.

The delegation offers blankets to pupils of Nam Mon 1 primary school in Lao Cai province’s Ha Bac district

The program took place with many significant activities, including offering 100 warm jackets, 100 blankets, 135 woollen caps and 400 gifts worth more than VND100million to pupils at Si Ma Cai primary school and Nam Mon 1 primary school; building 2 playgrounds worth VND70million for pupils at Nam Mon 1 primary school in Bac Ha district and Minh Luong primary school in Van Ban district…The delegation also visited, offered gifts to officials, soldiers of Si Ma Cai border post; visited, presented 10 gifts to 10 veterans who joined hands with Thu Dau Mot’s people and army in the fight against foreign invaders for national freedom and unification.

The program aimed to further uphold the voluntary spirit of Binh Duong’s Youth Union, Young Pioneer Organization and associations in helping people in the poor mountainous region of the country…

Prior to that, the Youth Unions of Binh Duong and Lao Cai signed a friendship program for the period of 2011 and 2014 and a joint program for the period of 2015-2020. Over the past time, the Youth Unions of the two provinces implemented many activities to tighten solidarity for the sake of the community in the two localities.
