September 5, together with all school students across the nation, 262,050 students at all levels in Binh Duong Province started their new academic year of 2012-2013. First grade students queue before starting their learning days Actually, they started their schooling ever since August 20 in the preparation stage for the new year. The preparation included innovation of school facilities and surroundings with banners calling the whole public take their children to school.Mr. Tran Hieu, Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training informed that the new academic year started at the opening of prevention drives against dengue and food and mouth disease proposed by healthcaring sector. As the matter of fact, Department of Education and Training has commanded schools to clear up surrounding environment to prevent risks of diseases in the new academic year.The starting day of schools has become festive day to greet students to schools; thus, the day should include plenty of activities from art performances to traditional games. Such activities are so attractive to the students, especially in preschools and elementary schools.In the past year, the pressure of increasing student population has prompted the Department of Education and Training to build up more schools and learning rooms. By August, totally 22 constructions with storeys have been put into use while 24 others have been on progress. Mr. Luc Kim Thanh, Head of Ben Cat District Office of Education and Training informed that 5 substituting constructions have been in second stage to meet up increasing population of school students across Duy Tan, My Phuoc, and Tran Quoc Tuan Elementary Schools.Meanwhile, the teaching staffs are now ready for instructing 16,200 school students at preschools and elementary schools.Reported by A.
