Binh Duong Open Chess Tournament 2016: Provincial players win 21 medals

After 3 competition days, afternoon Feb 21, Binh Duong Open Chess Tournament 2016 celebrating the Party - celebrating the Spring hosted by Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism had its closing ceremony. Binh Duong province had 2 teams, Binh Duong 1 and 2, taking part in the tournament. At the end, Binh Duong players excellently won 21 medals, including 9 gold medals, 7 silver and 5 bronze.

The Organizing Committee conferred medals on U13 players of men's single category

This year’s tournament gathered about 150 chess players from 11 units inside and putside the province, like: Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Long An, Dong Nai...

Players were divided into six age groups: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and categories of men’s single, women’s single, men’s team, women’s team. The tournament was one useful recreational activity on the occasion of Lunar New Year, creating an opportunity for Binh Duong chess players to exchange, heighten their competition skills and experiences to get more high prizes at regional, national, and international tournaments in the future.
