In the first quarter of 2010, total export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products reached an estimated USD3.65 billion, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%.
However, among 11 major agricultural products for export, coffee, rice, manioc and manioc products saw decreases in turnover.
1,233 million tonnes of rice were exported, worth USD677 million, decreasing by 30% in volume and more than 16% in value and 689,000 tonnes of manioc and manioc products were shipped overseas, worth USD180 million, decreasing by 49% in volume.
Coffee export turnover reached an estimated USD461 million, decreasing by 31% year on year. Fishery products had an export turnover of USD861 million, increasing by 15%; forestry products and wood and wooden products export turnovers were USD766 million and USD716 million, respectively.
