Update: 20-07-2012 | 00:00:00
July 19, the Steering Board of Illiteracy Prevention, Education Universalisation, and Learning Society Building (IPEULSB) summed up its activities for the year 2011 with completion of survey, update, and addition of age ranged school students, improved education quality, and mobilisation of students and children in age ranges to attend schools. Besides, in districts and towns, those who have no conditions to attend public schools have been encouraged to attend continuing education classes or second grade universalised high school. As a result, the all-level education universalisation and illiteracy prevention have met up national standards. On this occasion, Department of Education and Training has also summed up targets reached in pre-schools where 21,895 children at 5 have been mobilised to schools. 53 out of 91 wards and townlets have met standards of pre-school universalisation. The universalisation program is expected to be finished early in 2013 ahead the scheduled 2015. The Provincial People’s Committee awarded merit certificates to 20 collectives and 22 individuals while Department of Education and Training praised 30 collectives and 50 individuals (in photo) for their contribution to the cause of illiteracy prevention, education universalisation, and learning society building.
