Provincial People’s Committee, on Oct.12, forwarded a conference to review the five-year implementation of the poverty reduction support credit program for the poor.

There were over 28,000 turns of poor households and other social policy beneficiaries, over 30,000 turns of pupils and students getting a total loan of VND266,973mln over the past five years.

Under the program, the local Bank for Social Policies will mobilize all capital sources to meet the local students and pupils’ annual demand for loan in the 2012 and 2017 period, with the total outstanding loans estimated at VND300bln.
