After 1 year of pre-school education universalization for children at 5, the province has succeeded in standardizing 53 out 91 communes, wards, and townlets. On this way on, the targets should be met by 2013 not by 2015 as expected.

Pre-school is the important and major stage for children at 5 to startup elementary schooling

As affirmed by Mrs. Nguyen Hong Sang, Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training, the sector has made breakthroughs in investment and development of pre-school education. For the next stage of 2011 to 2015, the province would invest into 31 constructions of pre-school with 242 rooms to be upgraded and expanded to totally 1,462 rooms across the province. In just one year, 6 constructions have been put into operation while 8 under-constructing standard and modern facilities. In remote areas, local authorities have also invested into upgrading pre-school rooms for half-day stay. By socialized investments, children at 5 are now accessible to toys and equipments necessary for their development. The sector has also increased number of staffs to pre-school at 1,107 teachers while the teacher training has been boosted up. Aiming to complete pre-school universalization, the sector and involved agencies uphold the great spirit of implementing policies for teachers and care for children especially ones in remote areas.
