The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced it will open a direct route from Hanoi to Rangoon, Myanmar, on March 2, operating 4 flights a week using Fokker 70 aircraft. 

To encourage Vietnamese tourists to visit Myanmar, Vietnam Airlines is offering a discount fare of US$250 to Rangoon until the end of March.

 

By the end of 2010, the airlines will add an additional 5 flights a week, using A320 aircraft
