While receiving Blair in Hanoi on March 18, Dung highlighted the positive development of Vietnam-UK relations over the years, bringing practical benefits to both countries.

He affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to boosting multi-faceted relations with the UK and the European Union (EU).

He called for Blair’s support and further contributions to strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and the UK, as well as the EU, in various fields.

The former UK PM valued Vietnam’s achievements in national development and international integration, and said his office is working closely with the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate bilateral economic, trade and investment ties.

Blair also voiced his continuous support for deeper ties between Vietnam, the UK and the EU in all fields, especially economic cooperation and public-private partnerships.
