Looking back the year of 2012 with diverse bilateral activities that helped upgrade Vietnam – Russia diplomatic relations ties to a new height of comprehensive strategy partnership, Vietnam highly appreciates the role of Russian entrepreneurs and press community.So said Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia, Mr Pham Xuan Son, in a meeting held in Moscow on February 28. The two-way trade between Vietnam and Russia in 2012 reached USD3.6 billion, higher than its target, in which oil and gas cooperation was the most impressive sector. Besides, the bilateral cooperation in the areas of technical, sciences and military, culture and education has also improved, creating a solid foundation for the two sides to carry out more projects in the future. Highly appreciating the role of Russian and Vietnamese companies in accelerating bilateral relations, Ambassador Pham Xuan Son stressed they have contributed to realizing mutually profitable projects, thus helping to renew and perfect the cooperation mechanism. “I strongly believe that entrepreneurs will be more active in the future, to reach the target of USD7 billion two-way trade revenue in 2015.”Ambassador Pham Xuan Son also confirmed the role of Russia’s media in introducing and promoting the images of Vietnamese people and land to international friends, and reporting key activities between the two nations, saying that the community will continue run news on the Vietnam-Russia friendly relations.Meanwhile, representatives from Russia’s entrepreneurs have demonstrated their satisfaction with impressive movements in economic and trade developments between the two sides, hoping that the relations will flourish more and more.
