The 1st Binh Duong tandem cycling tournament 2013 will be held by the provincial department of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Song Be Tourism and Sport Event JSC from Sept. 29 to Dec. 22, 2013 at Binh Duong.

The tournament is themed Binh Duong on a new day and is for cadres, employees, armed forces, laborers aged from 18 and above, foreign laborers working at industrial parks and compounds in the province.

Athletes will compete in 4 rounds: Binh Duong new city round on Sept, 29; My Phuoc I IP round on Oct. 27; VSIP I round on Nov. 24 and Thu Dau Mot city round on Dec. 22. Every round has a total length of from 20-30km and every team includes 3 female athletes and 3 male ones divided into 3 couples.

The team ranking first will enjoy a VND5mi prize. In addition, the organizing board will grant other prizes to excellent teams. At present, 20 teams have registered to participate in Binh Duong New City round whilst the remaining rounds have lured 40 teams.

This tournament is to create a healthy playground for laborers in the province.
