2016 Ben Cat summer sports festival absorbs over 500 pupils

Ben Cat town’s Center for Culture-Sports and Division of Education-Training yesterday co-held a ceremony to open the 2016 summer sports festival.

 Medals awarded to primary-school pupils who gained high achievements in the event of swimming at the sports festival

The sports festival has absorbed more than 500 pupils from town-based primary and secondary schools. They will compete in five events: football for teenagers, football for children, badminton, chess and swimming.

After the opening ceremony, they entered competitions for football at Quoc Anh football ground, badminton at Dao Nguyen sports ground, chess at town’s Center for Culture-Sports and swimming at My Phuoc swimming pool.

The sports festival aims to create a useful and safe playground for the local pupils during the summer vacation while discovering and training outstanding athletes to attend tournaments to be organized by the province in the coming time.
