To honor beauty of Vietnamese women generally and Binh Duong province’s women particularly, simultaneously celebrate the 83th Vietnamese Women Union anniversary (October 20th 1930 – October 20th 2013), Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism cooperated with provincial Women Union to host the contest of “Confident – Graceful Binh Duong Women” 2013 at provincial Culture – Movies Center from October 16th to 18th. Contestants of “Confident – Graceful Binh Duong Women” Contest 2013 With many interesting competing categories, the contest drew participation of 70 contestants divided into 2 groups: group (from 20 to 30 years old) and group B (from 30 to 45 years old), coming from provincial Women Union’s branches. Being impressed by the competition of talent The competition of talent is the most impressive category, because contestants showed their ingenuity and gift for art like music and cuisine. Musician Vu Hoang, Head of Jury Board, said: “I was really touched because of confident and graceful performance of songs about mothers, female soldiers, silent sacrifice of teachers, heart of voluntary women… Especially, the competition of arranging flowers was also emotive with contestants’ emotions expressed through colors, shapes of flowers, words, profound presentations. All these things generated a vivid picture of a festive day honoring the beauty of Vietnamese women as well as a meaningful cultural playground created for provincial women”. Being touched by interview competition After competition categories like talent, “Ao ba ba” and free-style costume performance, 16 excellent candidates were selected to enter the final round. Among them, 7 candidates with highest points make audiences so moved by their answers at the interview competition. The most moving answer was from Nguyen Pham Nhat Chinh of Dau Tieng district, when she said that “I love you so much, mother…” with tears to her deceased mother for the jury’s question “What will you say to your mother on occasion of Vietnamese Women Day?” At the end, in group B, Do Thi Cam Van of Thuan An town won excellently first prize, Truong Thi Hong Tuan of Binh Duong Female Entrepreneur Association had the second prize, Nguyen Pham Nhat Chinh of Dau Tieng district got the third prize. In group A, the first prize belonged to Nguyen Thi Lien of Di An town Women Union, Huynh Phung Tien (Police Department of Fire Prevention and Fight) got the second prize, the third prize went to both Nguyen Ha Tuyet Nhung of Dau Tieng district and Vo Thi Thuy Linh of TDM City. Additionally, organizers also awarded 9 console prizes to contestants of the final round with high points; prize of unit having the most quantity of contestants to Binh Chuan primary school; prize of unit organizing best the contest at grassroots level to Dau Tieng district.
