After two-day competition, the 4th Thuan An Sports Festival’s badminton tournament concluded on the evening of August 25.

With 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals, An Phu ward’s badminton club took the lead at the badminton tournament. It was followed by An Thanh with 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal and Lai Thieu with 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal, respectively. The tournament absorbed nearly 150 athletes from 9 out of 10 wards and communes in the town together units from the town’s Health Center, Police Agency and Division of Education and Training. They competed in 7 events: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, women’s doubles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles, men’s team and women’s team.

*The same day, the 4th Thuan An Sports Festival’s Chinese chess tournament also concluded at the town’s sporting event hall. Beginning from August 24, the tournament absorbed 80 chess players from communes and wards in the town with 2 individual and team events. Finally, first prize went to Vinh Phu ward. Lai Thieu won second prize while third prize belonged to An Thanh.
