With the respect and pride of “Ho Chi Minh-the Great Leader of Vietnam”, many cultural activities, art performances will be organized across the province on the occasion of the  124th anniversary of his birthday.

An opening ceremony of the 2014 Thuan An southern folk opera competition will be organized at the town’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports. The competition will take place on May 18 and 18 with the participation of more than 30 candidates with the same passion for this artistic genre from communes and wards in the town.

Thuan An town will also kick off a poetic festival on the occasion of the 124th birthday anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh, the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, the 55th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Trail on the morning of May 19. Coming to the festival, viewers will have a chance to enjoy poems in praise of Uncle Ho, the Dien Bien Phu Victory, Binh Duong…from members of three poetic clubs: Thuan An town’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports, Lai Thieu ward and An Phu ward.

On the evening of May 17, the final round of the 2014 Binh Duong Student Singing Competition will take place at provincial Center for Culture and Movie. This is the second time that provincial Student Association, Radio-Television Station, Department of Education and Training has co-held the competition with the goal of creating a chance for pupils and students across the province to exchange and seeking those with good signing voice for the local art performance movement.

Provincial Center for Culture and Movie will also screen two features films named “Thien menh anh hung” (Blood letter) and “Ha Noi-mua dong năm 1946” (Ha Noi in winter of 1946) together with documentary films on late President Ho Chi Minh’s great revolutionary career on the evening of May 17 and 18.

Also on this occasion, TDM city’s Center for Culture-Information and Sports will organize art performances in wards of Phu Tho, Hoa Phu and Phu Loi on May 1, 19 and 20. The center will cooperate with art troupes of the wards to sing songs in praise of Party, Uncle Ho, homeland, Binh Duong…

As part of activities in celebration of Uncle Ho’s 124th birthday, Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock will organize a competition on art performance and telling stories about Uncle Ho on the morning of May 19.
