Upholding traditions and achievements in the process of construction and development, provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels have continued uniting, affirming their core role and position in peasant movements, contributing to building up a prosperous, beautiful, civilized Binh Duong homeland.

Solidarity for development

Under the Party's leadership, during its process of construction and development, provincial Farmers' Association has upheld its role in gathering and uniting farmers to participate in patriotic emulation movements; implement the Party, State 's guidelines, policies and laws, contributing to the local socio-economic development goals. Over the past years, the association's work and peasant movements in the province achieved many important results. Provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels actively innovated their operational contents and methods, focusing on building up a strong organization and farming class. In addition, they strengthened propaganda and well organized activities on vocational training and consultancy; supported farmers to develop their production and business activities while upholding the role of farmers participating in socio-economic development and new-style rural construction...

Noticeably, the movement of “Good farmers in production and business, uniting to help each other reduce poverty and get rich sustainably has continued developing in quantity and quality. Many farmer households have got involved in business start-up, overcoming difficulties to become owners of farmsteads, forming up many production linkage groups, cooperative groups, cooperatives and fostering new models on animal husbandry and cultivation. Good farmers in production and business have helped the poor ones with technology, production experience, capital, seedlings, agricultural materials... On the other hand, provincial Farmers ‘Association have actively responded to the new-style rural construction program, bringing practical results and creating a civilized and modern appearance of the local rural areas.

Improvement, cooperation

Facing the requirements of industrialization, modernization of agriculture, farmers, rural areas and international economic integration, the 10th provincial Farmers' Association congress for the 2023-2028 tenure has set the goals, tasks and solutions to bring the movements and work of the association into farmers' lives.

Accordingly, the Resolution of the 10^th provincial Farmers' Association congress for the 2023-2028 tenure determines the general direction of the entire association to continue strongly innovating its operational methods towards closely combining the work of gathering, uniting, propagandizing and mobilizing members to participate in building, supervising, and criticizing the society. The entire association will focus on well implementing the Party, State's policies, guidelines and laws along with implementing the 6-side linkage between the State, farmers, scientists, businesses, scientists, banks and distributors.

In addition, provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels have strengthened activities on vocational training and consultancy at members ‘practical needs and interests; effectively implement programs and projects on socio-economic development in rural areas while effectively setting up farmers’ innovative start-up model in the agricultural sector. Under the congress’ resolution, provincial Farmers' Associations at all levels have carried out many activities to support and uphold the role of farmers in agricultural and rural economic development.

For example, the Farmers' Association of North Tan Uyen district has just coordinated with the district’s Agricultural Service Center to organize a seminar on "Cucumber growing model with hi-tech application into production" at the farmstead of Dang Huu Thach in Lac An commune’s hamlet 4 in North Tan Uyen district. During the seminar, members of the district’s Farmers ‘Association visited the model and learned about investment in netted houses, machinery for irrigation, operation of the system and the process of growing cucumbers to achieve high productivity and quality. The seminar guided members of the local Farmers’Association to approach modern agricultural production, improving productivity and quality, ensuring food safety and bringing high profits to farmers.

Do Ngoc Huy, Chairman of provincial Farmers' Association said that each officer, member and farmer must constantly strive and reach out, contributing to successfully implementing the Resolution of provincial Farmers' Association congress for the 2023-2028 tenure. The association will further improve its operational contents and methods, enhancing the effectiveness of propagandizing, mobilizing, gathering and uniting farmers while affirming the role of the association, worthy of the trust of the Party committee and the expectations of members and farmers in the province.

At the first conference, the Party Central Committee met in October 1930 in Hong Kong (China) and passed a resolution to establish the Indochina General Agricultural Association (the first name of the Vietnam Farmers' Association today), marking an important turning point in the history of the Vietnamese peasantry, marking the maturity and growth of the peasant movement under the leadership of the Party. At the meeting on January 17, 1991, the Politburo decided to take October 14, 1930 as the Establishment Day of the Vietnam Farmers' Association.
