In Thu Dau Mot Town, Nguyen Du Elementary School is prominent for achievements of good learning and teaching. All-level teaching and learning contests have seen many awards won by this school. For 3 recent years, 12 teachers have won the prizes while 163 schools students have accredited as excellent students.

 

“We are proud of enthusiastic teachers and good learning students who contributed to excellent teaching and learning here,” said Mr. Trinh Quoc Dzung, principal of the school.

 

As for students, they are trained to work voluntarily on schedule as peer to peer coordination. They are trained to be yearning for learning by participating into contests organized by the sector including: calligraphy, painting, telling stories. Meantime, teachers are encouraged to innovate teaching methodology by using new and qulity teaching aids. Nguyen Du Elementary School is aiming for real quality; thus, learning competence of students is observed.

 

“We keep reminding teachers to take good care of their students and encourage students to engage in learning. Teachers also cooperate with parents to help their children,” said Mr. Dzung.

 

As far as education quality is concerned, teachers may play an important role. In Nguyen Du Elementary School, teachers engage in self-training for better teaching quality.

 

“To improve education quality, teachers are required to innovate methodology and teach by the heart. As for myself, I prefer to use computers in teaching. For subjects of maths, literature, science, history, and geography, e-lesson plans are always helpful to be enriched by visual aids and documentary films which give students more fun to learn,” said Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc, a teacher in Nguyen Du Elementary School.

 

The devotion to students has ensured that over 99% of students passing their grades, of which 70% are excellent students. For many years, the school has been honored with decoration of labor for the sector.
