Binh Duong bags 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at ABG5

Two athletes of Binh Duong belonging to Vietnamese sports delegation have just excellently won 2 gold medals at the 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG5).

Particularly, bodybuilder Se Pha of Binh Duong won a gold medal in the men's 1.68m classic category. Ran Marong of China ranked second while Nguyen Truong Giang of Vietnam was third. Also in the bodybuilding event, Mai Xuan Thuc of Binh Duong also defeated his rivals from South Korea, Japan, Bahrain, Maldives and Thailand to grasp a gold medal in the men’s 1.80m category. Lee Youngchan of South Korea and Taguchi Shunsuke of Japan were second and third, respectively.

With the two gold medals contributed by athletes of Binh Duong, Vietnamese sports delegation ranked first in the bodybuilding event at ABG 5 with 4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals, following by China with 2 gold, 2 silver medals and Bahrain with 1 gold medal.

Mual Thai martial artist Truong Quoc Hung of Binh Duong also pocketed a silver medal in the men’s 71kg-weight category. Besides, Binh Duong contributed 2 bronze medals in the Muay Thai and Kurash events to Vietnamese sports delegates at ABG5.
