Binh Duong boosts tourism promotion

Implementing the goal to turn Binh Duong tourism into a "smokeless industry" generating high revenues, many tourism promotion programs have been developed by provincial Tourism Promotion Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism). Namely, the center participated in many tourism festivals in order for provincial tourism to reach, introduce products, services to domestic and foreign customers.

Diverse forms of advertising

The province has now12 nation-level monuments, 40 province-level monuments in diverse forms of history, artistic architecture, traditional villages, manners and customs, traditions festivals ... and many eco-tourism attractions, resorts. This is a solid foundation for Binh Duong province to become an attractive tourism destination to domestic and foreign tourists.

Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Director of Tourism Promotion Center said, to boost provincial tourism industry, the center has updated tourist information on the website dulichbinhduong.org.vn to serve visitors; actively cooperated with tourism companies to provide Binh Duong tourist information through fairs, festivals, like: 2016 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, 2016 Hanoi International Tourism Fair, the 6^th Dong Nai Food Festival 2016… The center will also coordinate with Binh Duong province Radio – Television, Binh Duong Newspaper to build specialized pages, columns to introduce provincial tourism.

"A new feature of this year’s tourism promotion is assigning guides to introduce Binh Duong tourism characteristics and destinations. Also, the center, tourism units in the province display and sell handicraft products as souvenirs decorations, such as: lacquer paintings, rattan bamboo furniture…, when participating in trade fairs, festival ... ", Ms. Xuan said.

Bringing tourists to Binh Duong

To develop Binh Duong tourism as a "smokeless industry" generating high revenues, provincial tourism sector will increase investment, construction and efficiently exploit geographical advantages, tourism potentials; diversify tourism forms. The sector will also strengthen tourism cooperation with other provinces in the southern key economic zone to provide products meeting the recreation needs of visitors and local people.

To fulfill this goal, Tourism Promotion Center in collaboration with tourism units in the province participated in 2016 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, which was one tourism promotion activity. The center began the preparation for this festival from early this year, thus got positive results in introducing provincial attractions to international and domestic tourists.

In addition, at present, tourism companies in the province have launched programs for upcoming big holidays, like: Hung King’s death anniversary, National Liberation and Reunification Day, and summer days. According to Din Ky Company, Din Ky tourist destinations in Binh Duong offer various services to satisfy tourist needs in the upcoming holidays, and also sales promotion programs depending on tourism forms.

According to Tourism Promotion Centre, the participation in tourism events will facilitate tourism promotion of Binh Duong to domestic and international tourism market. These events also helped tourism companies to update their services, introduce products, advertise their image, and look for partners, business contracts…

At the 2016 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, as visiting the booth of Binh Duong province, Nguyen Khanh Ha (in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City) said, previously, she only knew about Dai Nam tourist area every time talking about Binh Duong. Today, she has learned that the province also had many other attractive destinations. On upcoming holidays, she and her family will choose Binh Duong for recreation.
