Binh Duong further fosters tourism links with Southeastern provinces

At the 2023 preliminary conference on cooperation agreement to develop tourism in the Southeastern region just hosted by Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, Binh Duong and other localities in the region continued signing an agreement on tourism development linkage in 2024.

In 2023, the Southeastern region welcomed and served more than 65.3 million visitors, an increase of 18.55% over the same period last year. The region’s tourism revenue was more than VND180.5 trillion, an increase of 22.13% compared to 2023. The number of tourists accounted for 54.2% of the total number of tourists in the country. In the work of building and developing new tourism products in 2023, provinces and cities in the Southeastern region focused on developing many new products, put them into operation and connected in tours in the region. Along with new destinations and tourism products of provinces and cities in the region, in 2023, Binh Duong also had 2 destinations highly appreciated by tourists, including Tuong Binh Hiep Lacquer Village in Thu Dau Mot city and farms with high-tech application in Phu Giao district.

Along with results done, the implementation of the regional tourism linkage agreement this year also encountered certain shortcomings. To exploit the potential and advantages for tourism development, provinces and cities in the region continued signing a cooperation agreement to strengthen tourism development linkages.
