This year’s Action Month on Gender Equality and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response is under the theme of “Ensuring social welfare, empowering and creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality and eliminate gender-based violence”.
In response to the Action Month on Gender Equality and Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response, taking place from November 15 to December 15, 2024, provincial Women's Union is mobilizing members and women across the province to change their social media avatars to show support for this initiative, focusing on preventing and addressing gender-based violence.
Over the past time, provincial Women’s Union also guided its members in installing the "Child abuse prevention" app on their phones and organized a mock trial with the participation of over 400 officials, members and educators. In addition, associations at all levels maintain legal bookcases at the grassroots. Currently, all 9 districts and cities and all 91 communes, wards and towns have law bookcases and book corners. The whole province has 1 reading room, 166 bookcases, 77 book baskets, 118 book shelves, with more than 12,431 copies of books of all kinds. Provincial Women's Union maintains a reading room with more than 1,100 copies of books of all kinds.
