On November 9, the STEM Education Research and Application Center of Ho Chi Minh city University of Pedagogy, in collaboration with KDI Education, organized the regional national round of the "International Drone and Robot Programming Competition 2024." Viet Anh Primary and Secondary School 3is one of many middle and high schools in the southern region participating in the competition.
To participate in the competition, teams must demonstrate their programming skills and coordinated control between drones and robots, aiming for applications in cargo transport for relief efforts. Specifically, each team designs a robot to optimize the retrieval of relief items; while the drone picks up the items, it quickly transports them to the collection point and drops them off accurately.
At the end of the competition, the organizers awarded prizes to the top 20 teams with the highest scores. Among them, Viet Anh 3 Junior High School excellently won the first prize in the high school category.
In recent years, Viet Anh Secondary School has placed great emphasis on organizing STEM education for students at all levels. This activity helps the students explore and create, as well as familiarize themselves with application models across all fields such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
In addition to theoretical study, students are taught to create programmable toys, helping them develop thinking, creativity, and new technical skills.
