Provincial General Hospital honored to receive the "Gold Award" from the World Stroke Association

The Stroke Unit at Binh Duong General Hospital was proudly awarded the "Gold Award" by the World Stroke Association in recognition of its exceptional achievements in stroke treatment and prevention. This honor marks a significant milestone not only for the hospital but also for the provincial health sector, highlighting the outstanding quality of public healthcare services provided.

Stroke Unit, Binh Duong General Hospital was established in July 2023. Up to now, the unit has received over 1,000 patients and provided emergency care, treatment, and comprehensive stroke resuscitation. Currently, Binh Duong General Hospital is the first hospital in the province to receive this award.

It is known that the "Gold Award" is a prestigious award that the World Stroke Organization (WSO) gives to stroke treatment units and centers with excellent stroke care activities on a global scale. Stroke units and stroke centers must meet rigorous criteria, such as: training, diagnostic equipment, standard treatment of acute stroke and collaboration with stroke care staff. The protocol is reviewed by a national accreditation body, 2 international accreditation bodies, and the World Stroke Organization Committee.
