In 2012, the provincial People’s Committee focuses on implementing Resolutions set out by the Government, provincial Party Committee and provincial People’s Council on local people’s health care and protection.   Poor people enjoy health check up and treatment free of charge.

Specifically, the whole province now has 3 provincial-level hospitals, 7 district-level hospitals, 91 medical stations and 11 clinics established by the state as well as 8 hospitals and 42 clinics set by private sectors and 150 drug stores winning the Good Pharmacy Practices standard.

Also the same year, there are 6.7 million of returns of patients enjoying health check up and treatment. The work of prevention and fighting of disease epidemics are well implemented. 

The national goal programs on healthcare reach the set plans. So far, 100% of communal health stations in the province have doctors and the ratio of communes, wards and townships winning the national standards on healthcare is at 49.5%.
