This year, the National Week of No Tobacco will last from May 25 to 31 under the theme of “Framework Convention on Tobacco Control” proposed by World Health Organization (WHO). Accordingly, the implementation includes environment without tobacco smoke, tax increase, and warning of health effects printed on tobacco packages, banning of ads, promotion, and sponsorship of tobacco companies.

 In responding to World No Tobacco Day marked on 31 May 2011, and National Week of No Tobacco, Department of Health is assigned to host activities to react and broadcast the bad effects of tobacco to make a tobacco free environment as well as to control sales of tobacco.
