After three-day competition, the 2012 Karate Championship in the Southeastern region closed at Binh Duong provincial Physical Training and Sports Center.

The tournament was hosted by Binh Duong with the participation of more than 200 athletes (including 70 female ones) from 11 provinces and cities in and out of the southeastern region.

With 6 gold medals and 4 silver medals, host team Binh Duong took lead at the tournament, followed by Dong Thap with 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 2 bronze medals and Dong Nai with 2 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 3 bronze medals, respectively.
