In recent years, policies on improving the business investment environment, encouraging startups and economic growth of the Government in general, of the province in particular have strengthened trust and encouraged entrepreneurs and businesses in the province to grow stronger and be more confident in the international economic integration, making an increasingly important contribution to the local socio-economic development.

Kim Won Sik, Chairman of Korea Investment Business Association in Binh Duong, said that from the beginning of this year, KOCHAM Binh Duong has awarded 219 scholarships to poor excellent students. In addition, this organization supported the construction of charity houses, VND 80 million each, for 13 families having difficult circumstances in the province with a total value of over VND 1 billion. KOCHAM Binh Duong and other sponsors hoped that poor students strive to overcome difficulties and continue to study well, become useful citizens to join hands to build a wealthy, civilized, and modern Binh Duong.

Maruchi Sun Steel Sunsco Company, every year, joins hands with local government to present many scholarships to students having difficult circumstances. The company organizes an annual program to meet local people to strengthen connection. Sakai Yasuyuki said, the company paid special attention to protecting the surrounding environment. The company has built a waste water treatment system equipped with the most modern technology of Japan, so the wastewater discharged into the environment is guaranteed to be clean and does not have adverse effect on the environment.

Vu Kieu Nu, Chairwoman of Binh Duong Businesswomen’s Union, said: “Social and voluntary activities received much attention by businesswomen, thus have been operated effectively. Particularly in the first 9 months of 2019, our association contributed VND 3 billion to social activities. In the coming time, the association will continue to pay attention to social activities combined with production and business of our members, making a good contribution to the local development”.

Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that these good results in socio-economic fields in recent years had a large contribution of the business community. With the motto "enterprises are both the motivation and internal force for local development", the province commits to constant assisting enterprises, creating the most favorable conditions for enterprises to develop stably.

In contrary, enterprises need to put more effort into production and renewing products, taking regional and international markets as targets, and attaching importance to the domestic market; focusing on improving the capacity of corporate governance, developing and training of human resources; branding, building business culture. In addition, the business community needs to strengthen bonds, joint ventures between businesses in the same industry, between domestic businesses with each other, domestic enterprises with foreign enterprises to develop together and improving competitiveness on the international market.

At the same time, the business community should proactively improve operational efficiency, expand international trade, and make the most of opportunities from new-generation bilateral and multilateral trade agreements. Businesses also need to be at the forefront of compliance with the law, paying attention to social responsibilities, green development and sustainability.
