Founded in a short time, the Club for Entering Life of Tan Dong Hiep commune Women’s Union in Di An district has won trust of local residents. Whoever you are, you will accumulate essential knowledge to build a life for the future as joining in the club’s activities.

The club gathers young people with specially disadvantaged circumstances including street children, lottery sellers or students to share experiences of entering life, career orientation and job introduction together. This club now has more than 25 members from all walks of life.

 

Career orientation and job introduction for needy youths are goals of Tan Dong Hiep communal Women Union.  

Duong Thi Thuy Trang, head of this club said, “To encourage young people to join in this club, promulgation and job placement for them are essential things”. N.T.K.L in Dong Tac hamlet is an example. Mrs.L made a mistake in having sex with a married man in next village. Then, she was pregnant and gave a birth in a shame, so she left her child with her parents. Thanks to encouragement from the club’s members, she has escaped the shame and enjoyed a stable job at a garment workshop. “My life looked like a zero number but I forgot my past gradually, thanks to the club’s members. Possibly speaking, this club looks like my second mother”, she said.

Aside from encouraging young people to join in this club, this club’s members have boosted up legal promulgation for local residents. This club has so far introduced jobs for 18 young people.

Assessing this club’s activities, Pham Thi Ban, chairwoman of the communal Women Union, said “as a new model of the local Women Union, this club’s activities have brought remarkable results. From these initial successes, we will expand this model at hamlets of this commune. This model’s goal is to change behavior and awareness of misguided people”.
