The General Department of Environment in cooperation with the Dong Nai River Commission and the provincial Department of Environment and Natural Resources held a workshop on strengthening communication on environmental protection for Dong Nai River basin on Nov. 30. The workshop is to share and exchange information and experience of communication on environmental protection for Dong Nai River basin.

According to statistics, there are 103 IPs covering on an area of more than 36,000ha across 12 provinces and cities under the Dong Nai River basin. Main waste resources from industrial production and urban areas cause heavy pollution on the basin.

At the workshop, delegates set out situation and demand of communication on environmental protection for Dong Nai River basin, role of press in environmental protection and so on.
