On Sept. 20, the provincial union of Science and Technology Associations held a conference themed “Advances of applied animal biotechnology in agriculture and medicine” at Binh Duong Children’s House.Attending the conference were nearly 300 deputies from medical units, leaders and students of universities and colleges in the province. At the conference, deputies heard Prof. Nguyen Van Thuan, president of the Asia Reproductive Biotechnology Society, professors of International University, the HCMC National University to present about advances of applied animal biotechnology in agriculture and medicine at some nations and regional countries such as Japan, Korea and so on. In addition, these professors replied queries relating to biotechnology field in the world in general and biotechnology in Vietnam in particular.At the conference, Prof. Nguyen Van Thuan raised many contribution ideas to the strategic orientation work of developing tech-science in agricultural and medical fields in Binh Duong province and vision till 2020.Reported by D.Binh – Translated by A.C
