Cooperation potential between Indian and Vietnamese businesses is very great, says chairman of Vietnam-India business forum Le Phuoc Vu

Vietnam-India business forum was officially established to raise the two-side ties into a new height. To know more about the forum, Binh Duong Daily had an interview with Le Phuoc Vu, chairman of the forum and CEO of Hoa Sen Corporation.

What are the goals of Vietnam-India business forum?

Vietnam-India business forum aims to improve Vietnam’s business climate and promote cooperative relations between Vietnam and India business communities in the areas of trade and investment. This will be an effective dialogue channel for companies with government officials and maintain a communication channel with foreign diplomatic and commercial organs in Vietnam.

The forum will be also aim to discuss solutions to solve problems arising in trade and investment ties…

As a chairman of Vietnam-India business forum, could  you tell us about the business forum’s plans and orientations in the coming time?

Vietnam - India Business Forum will make favorable conditions for businesses between the two countries to mutually exchange and learn. With this, there will be many cooperative relations between businesses of the two countries. And we will enjoy benefits from these relations…

As a chairman of Vietnam-India business forum, I and leaders of the business forum will make initiatives and exchanges for businesses to find cooperative opportunities in India.

According to you, what are India’s strong points?

Indian businesses now has many strong points in the areas of farm produce, food, high technology, information technology, textile and dyeing.

With a population of nearly 1.2 billion, India now possesses a domestic consumption market that is very great. This is a South Asian country bordering Indian Ocean, so businesses herein also enjoy many advantages in the export industry.

What are the most potential fields in India?

In India, Vietnamese businesses are able to make cooperation in many fields like textile, dyeing, agriculture, information technology, tourism…All of them are very potential.

Does Hoa Sen Corporation have any cooperation with India? And how is its success?

We have so far imported three cold rolling lines from CMI FBE Co. in Mumbai, India. Noticeably, we have received India’s official development aid (ODA) right when buying the first line and then invested additional two lines from India. This has expressed the great support from India for our corporation as well as affirming the quality of machines manufactured by India.
