Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Pham Gia Khiem, welcomed the Asian Development Bank (ADB) President, Haruhiko Kuroda, in Hanoi on February 28.
Mr.Khiem expressed his delight at the ADB President’s visit to Vietnam at the beginning of the Lunar New Year. He thanked ADB for assisting Vietnam to achieve socio-economic development over the past years.
He also appreciated the bank choosing Vietnam as a venue for the annual 44th ADB Meeting.
“This will be an opportunity for ADB members to exchange information, as well as plan administrative and financial operation,” he said.
Haruhiko Kuroda said ADB hoped to further strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in the future.
