Disease prevention and control for livestock and poultries in rainy season intensified in Bac Tan Uyen district

According to the People's Committee of Bac Tan Uyen district, the locality is directing branches to strengthen disease prevention and control for livestock and poultries in rainy season. In the first 6 months of the year, the district has issued many documents directing the implementation of vaccination to actively and proactively prevent and control avian influenza in the area.

Up to now, the total poultry herd in the district is nearly 1.6 million and the livestock herd includes 1,634 buffaloes and cows and 39,427 pigs. The district currently has 63 livestock farms, of which, 31 farms operate under the closed and cold farm model.
