Eastern International University opens up new school year marking 1-year establishment

Early September 24, at the heart of Binh Duong New City, Eastern International University (EIU) held a ceremony to start up a new academic year and mark 1 year of establishment with participation of Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of Central Committee of CPV, cum Secretary of local Party Committee, Dr. Hoang Thi Lan Phuong, Deputy Director of University Education Department under Ministry of Education and Training, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, and other leaders.

Secretary of local Party Committee drums up to inaugurate a new academic
year of Eastern International University EIU started its first academic year in 2011 with worldclass training models offering to 2,000 students, of which, 600 academic students, 531 junior and senior high school teachers in IELTS course, and 911 trainees under contracts with enterprises in Binh Duong Province.In this new school year, EIU is open to university and college levels in 7 major departments for 1,494 students, of which, 582 are seconded from Department of Educatoin and Training and Provincial University of Politics. EIU is recruiting an additional 500 students under allowance of Ministry of Education and Training.Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Hoang Thi Lan Phuong appraised the EIU staffs and Becamex Group for the cause of high-quality human resources supported by provincial party committee, people’s committee, and Ho Chi Minh City National University. She also informed that EIU was allowed to open 7 international-standard departments in the first ever credit regime with 3 semesters in a academic year.addressing the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi affirmed that education has been considered as the significant factor to promote socio-economic development.
